Overview of personalized uni-compartmental knee arthroplasty

Personalized UKA is more physiological in the way implants are aligned by following the unique native articular surfaces’ orientation of each individual. Advantages are multiple: the tibial bone is loaded more naturally with his stock being more preserved, and the dynamic implants’ interaction is improved. Philippe Cartier has devoted his all life to develop and promote this technique, and we should all be extremely grateful to him and his achievement who paved the way of kinematic UKA implantation.
